The service provided by a portable fire extinguisher service company should include the following:
- Technician carries a card from a recognized training institution, stating that they have been trained in accordance with NFPA 10, Standard for Portable Fire Extinguishers
- Physical inspection of all extinguishers on the premises
- Tamper seal replaced
- Tags and labels updated
- 6-year and 12-year maintenance performed as needed
