Fire Department

If you are experiencing a medical emergency, or an immediate threat to life or property, call 911 immediately.

Meadow Lake Fire & Rescue provides emergency response services to the City of Meadow Lake and surrounding communities including Flying Dust First Nation, the Rural Municipality of Meadow Lake, Dorintosh, Eagles Lake First Nation, the resort Village of Turtle View, parts of the Meadow Lake Provincial Park, and all highways within an approximate 90km radius.

As an all-hazards service, we respond to emergencies of nearly all kinds such as structure fires, farmland fires, vehicle accidents, industrial incidents and ice rescue.

We work toward the prevention of fires and other emergencies through fire safety inspections of businesses and public spaces and educational programs aimed at reducing fire hazards in homes, schools and and workplaces. We aim to help residents be better prepared to handle emergencies when they do happen.

Fire Department members pride themselves on providing professional, competent services for the benefit of the public.   Training is extensive and ongoing.  Being a firefighter is a commitment!

Meadow Lake Fire Department has a long-standing association with a twin fire department in Wettelbrunn, Germany, which has enriched our social life over the years.
