Burning Permits
Outdoor burning is generally prohibited within City limits, with the exception of:
- Approved residential fire pits, burning seasoned wood only (see page)
- Barbeques burning charcoal, propane or natural gas
- Special occasion bonfires at an approved location and time (see permit application below)
- Burning of clean wood debris, in limited circumstances and locations only (see permit application below)
Yard and garden debris should be composted, either at home or at the city's municipal compost site on 9th Avenue East
