Public Education Opportunities
For the Fire Department, public fire safety education is the "First Line of Defense" against fires and other emergencies.
Meadow Lake Fire & Rescue welcomes opportunities to interact with the public and to provide educational experiences. The following are some examples of popular events:
- School visits to the fire hall
- Firefighter visits to schools
- Small group presentations on fire safety, residential sprinklers and other topics
- Demonstrations at large public events (e.g. vehicle extrication simulations, or fire sprinkler test burns)
- Fire extinguisher training
