City of Meadow Lake Indoor Facilities Masking in Effect September 15, 2021
The City of Meadow Lake is advising residents that masks will be required at all indoor City facilities starting Wednesday September 15, 2021. Wearing masks is an effective way to limit the spread of COVID-19 while vaccination is still encouraged as the best protection against the virus. Residents are encouraged to bring their own masks when attending at City facilities.
City Council is working to determine what effect this mask mandate will have on the Civic Centre come November 1, once it is no longer being used by the Saskatchewan Health Authority.
While the vast majority of employees and visitors to City facilities will be required to mask up, please note the following exceptions: • children under 2 years of age, persons who are medically exempt and individuals who cannot place or remove masks without assistance are not required to wear a mask • masks are not required while in the pool • masks can be removed while seated to consume food or beverages
The City consults regularly with medical health experts to re-evaluate health and safety measures. We will continue to provide regular updates to our residents and employees. The City thanks all residents for their cooperation as we work together to keep our community healthy and safe.
